Marie Flory Oberholzer
Mrs. Marie Flory Oberholzer, 89, formerly of Greencastle, and more recently of Fayetteville, died Thursday morning, February 23, 2012, at the Village of Laurel Run Nursing Home, Fayetteville. She was the wife of the late Paul F. Oberholzer, who died December 22, 1973.
Born February 15, 1923, in Altenwald, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Guy Lemuel and Hazel May Wingert Flory. She graduated Greencastle High School in 1942.
Mrs. Oberholzer worked for Farmer''s Union Milk Plant for twenty years testing and sampling milk.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle; and Shady Grove Women''s Club. She was also a Girl Scout Leader in Shady Grove.
Surviving is her sister, Lucille Pryor and husband Ralph of Hagerstown; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Joanne E. Leckron in 2001.
The family will receive friends at the Zimmerman Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle Street, Greencastle, Monday, February 27, from 12:30 to 1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM with her pastor, Rev. Martin H. Horn, officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Oberholzer''s name to Evangelical Lutheran Church, 130 North Washington Street, Greencastle, Pennsylvania 17225.
