Marie A. (Wigfield) Golden, age 66 of McConnellsburg, PA died at 11:21 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She had been in declining health the past several years.
Born January 22, 1948 in Everett, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Ada B. (Miller) Wigfield. She had worked as a nursing assistant at Valley View Nursing Home and War Memorial Hospital both of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. She had attended the Freedom Worship Center near Fort Littleton, PA.
Surviving family are three daughters Patricia Vance of Dover, DE, Loreene Castle of Coatsville, PA, Cami Golden of Warfordsburg, PA, eight grandchildren, two brothers, Roger Wigfield of West Chester, PA, Warren Wigfield of North Carolina and one sister Faye Wilson of Fairmont, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 19 at 2:00 PM from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle Greencastle with Pastor Kevin Wade officiating, Burial will be in the Meyers Cemetery near Mercersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her name to the American Heart Association Franklin/Fulton Division 610 Community Way Lancaster, PA 17603 or to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454
