Mrs. Margaret Ruth "Peggy" Barnes Stine, 61, of Marion, died suddenly late Wednesday morning, at Chambersburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold Christopher Stine who preceded her in death in 1992.
Born May 5, 1951, in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Clara M. Walter Barnes. She was a 1969 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Mrs. Stine was employed at Rutter''s Farm Store, Quincy.
She is survived by her children, Harold Gene and significant other, and Susan I. Stine, both of Marion; siblings, Ronald E. Barnes and wife Maxine of Waynesboro, James E. Barnes and wife Arlene, and Paul Jeffery Barnes and fiance Evelyn Zigler, all of Greencastle, Mary Ann Imes and husband Melvin of Waynesboro, Roxanne Black and Ella Starr and husband Donald of State Line, Lee R. Barnes and wife Teresa of Greencastle, Donald G. Barnes and wife Cathy of State Line, and Paula Jean Barnes and companion Kevin Plasterer of St. Thomas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A graveside inurnment will be Monday, December 3, 2:00 PM, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
