Greencastle

Margaret Marie Piskorik of Pringle, PA passed away on March 5, 2025, at the home of her beloved son David Piskorik, Greencastle PA. Born February 2, 1930, in Port Griffith, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Zofia (Kovalcik) Novabilski.

She spent her life being a loving wife to her late husband, Andrew Piskorik of 43 years, raising their six children in the home they built together in Pringle. Margaret always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the greatest joy of her life was being able to meet her great-grandchildren.

Margie and Andy were known for hosting numerous parties though out the years, they were an amazing tag team at serving their guests; Andy in the basement making the best Kielbasa and Margie’s famous Rigatoni’s. They wanted to make sure friends and family were fed well. She enjoyed her trips to Knoebels and can always be found sitting on the park bench in the shade with an ice cream cone in her hand. Margie and her sister Mary went on many trips to NYC, where they loved to sight see, and would enjoy getting lost in the big apple together.

Margaret was a devoted Christian who was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Kingston; and St. Marks Catholic Church of Greencastle, PA. Father Augusty of St. Mark’s would visit Margaret weekly once she was unable to attend Mass due to her health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Piskorik; sisters, Sophie Novabilski, Julie Novabilski, Mary Lakowski, Theresa Kaluzavich; and brothers, William, Joseph, Frances, and Bernard Novabilski; and Daughter- in -Law, Linda McDermott.

Margaret is survived by her sons: David Piskorik of Greencastle, PA, Kenneth Piskorik (Linda) of Edwardsville, PA, Andrew Piskorik of Greencastle, PA, and Richard Piskorik (Cindy) of Greencastle, PA; daughters: Beverly Calenda (Jack) of Larksville, PA and Jane Dudash (Ronald) of Lignum VA; grandchildren, Melissa Calenda (Bill) of Pringle, PA, Kimberly Calenda of Monroe,NJ, Alyssa Helmick (Larry) of Madison VA, and Tyler, John, Connor, and Logan Piskorik all of Greencastle, PA; great-grandchildren, Steven Austin of Pringle, PA, Haley Habrack of Dallas, PA, and Jax, Diego, Poppy Jane, and Piper Laine Helmick of Madison, VA.
