Lucinda A. Starr

Lucinda A. "Cindy" (Souders) Starr, age 65 of Greencastle, PA died at 11:15 P.M. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born, May 11, 1946 in McConnellsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Seville) Souders.

She and her husband Myron A. Starr were married on September 10, 1967 in McConnellsburg, PA. He died on April 30, 2008.

In her earlier years Cindy was employed at the former Sagner Company of McConnellsburg and more recently was employed at Foremost Industries of Greencastle. She was a 1964 graduate of the McConnellsburg High School. Cindy was a member of the Greencastle VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving family are daughter, Amy Sheeley; son, Tony Starr both of Greencastle; brothers, Grant Souders and James Souders; sisters, Yvonne (Sis) McQuade, Judy Speer and Deb Souders all of McConnellsburg; five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Feagley and brothers, John, Harvey, Jack and Roger N. Souders.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10 A.M. from the Greencastle Bible Church, 350 W. Madison St., Greencastle with Rev. Jeffrey A. Ehko officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle and one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
