Lucille L. Crawford, age 90 a resident of Menno Haven in Chambersburg since August 1, 2007 and formerly of 38 West Grandview Ave. Mercersburg, Pa. died at 8:21 A.M. Thursday December 27, 2007 in the
Village Square of Menno Haven.
Born February 11, 1917 in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late John A. and Lyla Ellen (McBride) O''Brien.
She retired from the former Fairchild Aircraft of Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Antrim Brethren In Christ Church near Chambersburg. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She and her husband, Earl L. Crawford Sr. were married on August 30, 1935. He died on January 9, 1985.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Surviving family are:
One daughter, Mrs. Robert "Dottie" Crider, Greencastle, Pa.
Two Sons, Earl L. (Husband Of Sandy) Crawford Jr., Chambersburg, Pa. and Russell E. (Husband of Betty) Crawford, Roanoke, Va.
Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday morning December 31 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. with Pastors Ky Searcy and Wilbur Benner officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery Hagerstown, Md. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Menno Haven Benevolent Care Fund 2075 Scotland Ave. Chambersburg, PA. 17201.
