Louis James Reagan

Louis James Reagan, age 78, of  Golden Spring Drive Waynesboro, PA and formerly of Greencastle, PA died Friday morning, August 4, 2017 in the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Hagerstown, MD. He had been in declining health the past year and a half.

Born July 29, 1939 in Altoona, PA, he was the son of the late Cyril and Rose (Bettwy) Reagan.

Louis was employed with the US Federal Government, working in various jobs, retiring as an electronics technician.

He was a member of the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Greencastle. He was a member of the Greencastle Sportsmen’s Association where he was active in the Horseshoe League, member of the Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro, former member of the Greencastle V.F.W. and a former member and a past governor of the Moose Lodge  of Waynesboro.

He graduated from Altoona High School and DeVrey Institute and was a veteran of the US Army.

He married his wife Sharon Fitz Reagan on August 20, 2011

Surviving family in addition to his wife are one son Scott P. Reagan of Greencastle, PA, one daughter, Vickie Babar of Ohio, one grandson, Mickey Reagan, two granddaughters, Brittany Hallowell, Krista Morgan, two brothers, Paul Reagan and wife Daisy of Seminole, FL, Frank Reagan and wife Carmen of Palm Harbor, FL, step-children, Michael Fitz and wife Michelle of Leesburg, VA, Wendi Swanson and Ryan Fitz, both of Waynesboro, PA, , step-grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Nicole, Allison, Madison, Matei Fitz, Evan, Emma, Kyle Swanson, one great-granddaughter and one sister-in-law, Jan Johnson of Greencastle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Ann Reagan on September 1, 2007, brothers, John Reagan, Patrick Reagan, sisters Helen Frank, Lavern Conway and an infant daughter Erin Reagan.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 12 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 385 S. Ridge Ave. Greencastle with Father Kyle Sahd officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. There will be no viewing but the family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hawley Memorial Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 582 Blue Ridge Summit, PA 17214.
