Louis Huff

Louis A. Huff Jr., age 77 of 367 South Washington St. Greencastle died at 8:07 A.M. Monday January 25, 2010 in the Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md.

Born November 6, 1932 in West Lafayette Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis A. Sr. and Hilda (Beck) Huff.

He and his wife, Pauline M. (Fox) Huff were married October 23, 1993 in St. Mark Catholic Church of Greencastle.

Louis was employed with the Department Of The Army having worked in Alaska, Arizona and retired in 1985 from Letterkenny Army Depot Chambersburg as property officer. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served two tours in Korea.

Louis was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church of Greencastle, life member and past commander of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle. Also, he was past commander of District #21 years 2002-03 and was an All American Commander.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are one son John L. Huff, Seattle, WA., sisters, Sally Drummond (Wife of Ralph), Fallon NV., Sharon Lee Gilmore (Wife of Carson), Asheboro, N.C., brother David A. Huff (Husband of Shirley), Fort Pierce, FL., two granddaughters, two great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one nephew Neil Huff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 1 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. Mark Catholic Church 385 S. Ridge Ave. Greencastle with Rev. Joseph L. Stahura officiating. Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 - 9 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle where the Greencastle V.F.W. will hold a memorial service at 7:30 P.M. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:45 P.M.
