Lorile E. (Evans) Eberly, age 59 of Linden Ave. Greencastle, PA died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Broward Health Imperial Point Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida while vacationing with her husband.
Born August 10, 1956 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kermit and Lorraine (Shatzer) Evans. She married Steve A. Eberly on October 25, 1975.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Pennsylvania Unemployment Office in Chambersburg.
Lorile was a member of the Fairview Avenue Brethren In Christ Church of Waynesboro and was a 1974 graduate of Chambersburg Area High School. She enjoyed reading, traveling and keeping her grandson Ethan.
Surviving family in addition to her husband are one son Ryan K. Eberly and wife Carrie of Greencastle, one grandson, Ethan M. Eberly, one brother K. Chad Evans of Fayetteville, PA and one half-sister Carol Frost of California.
She was preceded in death by a stillborn son Tyler B. Eberly.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 7 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church 3664 Coseytown Rd. Greencastle with Rev. John Walker, Rev. Carlos Rosado and Rev. Terry Hoke officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Missions Fund of Fairview Avenue Brethren In Christ Church 152 Fairview Ave. Waynesboro, PA 17268.
