Loretta M. (King) Boyer, age 95 formerly a resident of Greencastle, Pa. and Providence Place of Chambersburg, Pa. died at 9:30 A.M. Thursday November 20, 2008 in ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg, where she has resided for the past year.
Born May 3, 1913 in Elwood City, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John L. and Anna E. (Tritt) King.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church Of God of Mercersburg, Pa. She and her husband, Grant Arlo Boyer were married November 19, 1932. He died on August 19, 1990.
Surviving family are: three daughters, Wanda Hazen of Anderson, IN., Gwendolyn Hanson of Dundee, FL., and Marjorie Roberts of Jackson Center, Ohio, two sons, Gerald Boyer of Medina, Ohio and John Boyer of Burghill, Ohio, nineteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Mildred (King) Main, a brother Ralph King, a daughter Mabel (Boyer) Rogan and a grandson Daryl Lee Boyer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 22 at 11:00 A.M. from the Church Of God of Mercersburg, 8676 Buchanan Trail West Mercersburg, Pa. with Pastor David L. Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Broad Top Cemetery in Broad Top City, Pa. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. The family requests the omission of flowers with memorial contributions made in her memory to the Church Of God of Mercersburg 8676 Buchanan Trail West Mercersburg, Pa. 17236.
