Lena E (Dolt) Heister

Lena Heister, age 77, of Greencastle, PA died Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at her home in Greencastle, PA after a short illness. Born June 24, 1944, in Huntingdon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia McElwain Dolt.

Lena was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School. She married her late husband, Jackson Heister in 1965. She was a homemaker, caring for her family. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, and baking.

Surviving family include two daughters, Melissa Cooke (husband Michael) of Mt. Airy, MD and Mareta Kauffman of Greencastle, PA; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Frances Stauffer, Martha Dolt, Philip  Dolte, and Benny Dolt. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Philip M. Heister on January 23, 2020, one great-granddaughter, and a brother, Glenn Dolt.

A private celebration of life service will be held later at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle, PA.
