Leatrice M. Fisher, age 89 a resident of ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg and formerly of Greencastle, PA died at 2:50 P.M. Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the nursing home.
She was born November 22, 1923 in Greenville County, South Carolina. Leatrice was employed at the former Fairchild Aircraft of Hagerstown and last worked at Nitterhouse Co.of Chambersburg. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading and playing cards in several card clubs.
Surviving family are one son James V. Fisher and his wife Connie of Greencastle. She was preceded in death by her former husband James W. Fisher on August 8, 1991.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 24 at 11:00 A.M. from the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg with Pastor David Grove officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family requests the omission of flowers with memorial contributions given in her memory to the Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library 305 East Baltimore St. Greencastle, PA 17225. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
