Larry G. Shaffer, age 56, of 164 N. Allison St. Greencastle, Pa. died at 9:42 A.M. Thursday, January 10, 2008 in Julia Manor Health Care Center of Hagerstown, Md. He had been in declining health for the past few years.
Born October 24, 1951 in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late G. William and Arabelle M. (Benchoff) Shaffer.
He and his wife, Bonita L. "Bonnie" (Mitchell) Smith Shaffer where married August 4, 1977.
Mr. Shaffer had worked in the foundry of the former Landis Tool Company of Waynesboro. He was a 1970 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim High School.
He was a social member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle. He attended the Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church of Greencastle. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

One Brother, Daryl W. Shaffer of Greencastle, Pa.

A memorial service will be held on Monday January 14 at 11:00 A.M. from the Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church, 3661 Williamson Rd., Greencastle with Pastor Eric Beck officiating. There will be no public viewing, however the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Ebenezer United Brethren Church, 3661 Williamson Rd., Greencastle, Pa. 17225. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M.
