Kimberly Ann “Kim” (Heckman) Clare, age 48, of Frank Road Greencastle, PA died unexpectedly at 11:20 AM Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 13, 1966 in Chambersburg, PA she was the daughter of Donald R. and Anna M. (DeWalt) Heckman of Fayetteville, PA. She married Eric E. Clare on September 9, 1995 in the Greencastle Church of the Brethren.

Kim had worked nearly 25 years at the Chambersburg Hospital as an administrative assistant in behavioral health. Previously, she worked as a paralegal for an attorney in Harrisburg. Kim was a 1984 graduate of the Chambersburg Area High School and a 1989 graduate of Hagerstown   Junior College.

Kim was an active member of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren where she was involved in the Children’s Ministry, VBS, and Missions Team. She was a member of the Isaac Walton League of America and enjoyed crocheting, boating, camping, and going on cruises.

Surviving family in addition to her parents and husband are one son, Brandon Keith Clare at home, one daughter, Megan Marie Clare at home, two brothers, Donald E. Heckman Jr. and wife Michelle of Bel Air, MD, Burt Allen Heckman and wife Miranda of Chambersburg, mother and father-in-laws, Robert and Dorothy Clare of Greencastle and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 12 at 10:00 AM from the Greencastle Church of the Brethren 36 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Leon Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Greencastle Church of the Brethren 36 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA 17225. Online condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com.
