Kenneth E. Oliver, age 81, a resident of Menno Haven Nursing Center in Chambersburg and formerly of 9269 Antrim Church Rd. Greencastle, Pa. died at 7:45 P.M. Monday November 8, 2010 in the nursing center.

Born December 1, 1928 in Antrim Twp. Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Walter H. and Carrie (Helman) Oliver.

Kenneth was a lifelong dairy farmer having retired in 1987. He was a member of the Waynesboro Grace Brethren Church. Kenneth was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association and had served as a board member of the Farmers Union Co-Op of Greencastle.

He was a 1947 graduate of Greencastle High School. He and his wife, Fay M. (Myers) Oliver were married November 4, 1951 near Greencastle. Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years are two sons, Dr. Alan E. (husband of Janice L.) Oliver, Greencastle, Steven C. (husband of Shelby J.) Oliver, State Line, one daughter Karen A. (wife of David E.) Rotz, Chambersburg, two brothers, Willis Oliver, resident of The Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, Glenn "Jay" Oliver, Waynesboro, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Irene Zeigler.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 13 at 10:00 A.M. from the Waynesboro Grace Brethren Church 250 Philadelphia Ave. Waynesboro with Pastor Larry Weber officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman, Pa. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Waynesboro Grace Brethren Church 250 Philadelphia Ave. Waynesboro, PA. 17268.
