Kenneth H. Frey, age 79 of 10149 Mercersburg Rd. Mercersburg, Pa. left this world for his eternal rest at 9:02 P.M. Monday March 19, 2007 in his home.
Born October 29, 1927 in the Chambersburg, Pa. area, he was the son of the late Norman and Esther (Siegrist) Frey.
He was a career farmer in the Mercersburg area and was employed at the Chambersburg Farm Service for approximately 15 years. Mr. Frey was an active member of the Upton Church Of The Brethren. He served as a minister for the Upton congregation and also the former Back Creek Church Of The Brethren congregation.
He and his wife, Anna Mary (Meyers) Frey were married July 20, 1948 near Lemasters, Pa.
Surviving family in addition to his wife of 58 years are:
One Daughter, Marian (wife of Shannon) Negley, Auburn, Maine, Two Sons, Lynn Frey, Mercersburg, Pa. and Loren (husband of Sherri) Frey of Hagerstown, Md.
Two Sisters, Margaret Cordell of Chambersburg, Pa. and Erma Weber of Maugansville, Md.
Eleven Grandchildren Thirteen Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin Frey, Merle Frey, Richard Frey and Elwood Frey.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 24 at 10:00 A.M. from the Upton Church Of The Brethren on Warm Spring Rd. Upton, Pa. with Ministers Dennis Sollenberger, Duane Hawbaker and John Shelly officiating. Burial will be in the Meyers Cemetery near Mercersburg. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Cumberland Valley Relief Center 4225 Molly Pitcher Hwy South Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
