Kenly C. Van Horn, age 65 of 167 Baumgardner Dr. Greencastle, PA. died at 8:40 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2011 in his home following a brief illness.

Born, March 17, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Doris Van Horn Chambers and Joseph Van Horn.

He and his wife, Carol A. (Rachuba) Van Horn were married October 22, 1966 in Baltimore.

He retired from General Motors in Martinsburg W.VA after 41 years of employment. Ken was a member of the United Auto Workers and a social member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Ken enjoyed reading, gardening and loved being with his friends and family especially his granddaughter Emma.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 44 years are one son Christopher and wife Mary Van Horn of Waynesboro, PA., one daughter Amy and husband Brian Newell of Mercersburg, PA., one granddaughter, Emma Newell and four brothers Robert Wolfe, Pasadena , MD., Clayton Wolfe, Baltimore, MD., Warren Van Horn, Marietta, GA. and John Van Horn, Landsdale, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 7 at 11:00 A.M. from the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA. with Father Keith Carroll officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle St., Greencastle. Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to St. Joseph''s Monastery Parish, 251 South Morley St., Baltimore, MD. 21229.
