Kathleen "Kitty" Hartman

Kathleen "Kitty" M. Hartman, age 88 a resident of the Penn Hall Nursing Center since July 2008 and formerly of Greencastle, Pa. died at 4:10 A.M. Saturday September 27, 2008 in the nursing center.

Born August 25, 1920 in Quincy, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert S. and Della (Myers) Snyder.

She retired in 1982 from the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg. She and her husband, William R. Hartman were married on June 7, 1941. He died on September 30, 1994.

Mrs. Hartman was a member of The Brethren Fellowship Church of Chambersburg. She was a graduate of the former Quincy High School. She enjoyed traveling and being with her family.

Surviving family are:

One son, William (Husband of Rozenna) Hartman Jr. , Hanover, Pa.

One daughter, Susan (Wife of Roy Jr.) Daugherty, Chambersburg, Pa.

Three sisters, Margaret Alleman, Florida, Mildred Geesaman, Colorado and Lois George, Shady Grove, Pa.

Two brothers, Earl Snyder, Chambersburg, Pa. and Robert Snyder, Shady Grove, Pa.

Three Grandchildren, Michele Hostetter, Tricia Murray and Daniel Hartman.

Four great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Schnabel, one brother Harold Snyder and one great-granddaughter Chanel Beard.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 30 at 10:30 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Manny Diaz officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the building fund of The Brethren Fellowship Church 339 Lincoln Way East Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
