Julie A. (Berger) Overcash, age 44, of Greencastle, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 29, 2021 at her home.
Born May 7, 1976 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of Lorna (Mowen) Painter of Chambersburg and the daughter of the late Jeffrey L. Berger. She married her husband Brian K. Overcash on May 19, 2001.
Julie worked as a vocational counselor with the Paradigm Corp. She was a 1994 graduate of Waynesboro Area High School, and received her BS and Master’s degrees in Psychology from Shippensburg University.
She had attended Jesus Is Lord Ministries International near Biglerville, PA. Julie loved spending time with her “precious” three girls, and attending all of their special events. She enjoyed Bible study, and reading of her Bible, contemporary Christian music, crafts, decorating, running, exercise and nutrition.
Surviving family in addition to her husband and mother are three daughters, Shaina E. Overcash, Lilah G. Overcash, Bria R. Overcash, all at home; brother Jeffrey L. Berger Jr. of Chambersburg, paternal grandmother Bernice Berger of Waynesboro, and a half-sister Ashley M. Cline of Chambersburg.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 10:00 AM at the Grand Point Church, 2230 Grand Point Rd. Chambersburg, PA with Pastor Mike Carey officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
