John Nelson Beaver
John Nelson Beaver, age 87, of 11364 Koons Rd. Waynesboro, PA, died at 2:45 P.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in his home.
Born December 13, 1919 in Upton, Pa. he was the son of the late John K. and Ella May (Ovelman) Beaver.
He and his wife, Susan D. (Knode) Beaver were married April 24, 1970. He and his first wife, Corinne Amanda (Helm) Beaver were married April 12, 1940. She died March 8, 1967.
Mr. Beaver owned and operated a dairy farm on Wharf Road in Zullinger, PA from 1946 until retiring in 1993.
In his earlier years he worked on a farm and at a tool company in Greencastle. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the South Pacific in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Beaver had belonged to various farm organizations and to the Silver Star Saddle Club of Greencastle.
He was a member of: the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 of Greencastle, Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 of Greencastle, Amvets Post #224 of Chambersburg and the Red Men Club Lodge # 84 of Williamsport, Md.
He attended school in Antrim Twp.. He enjoyed duck pin bowling, dancing and square dancing and had belonged to several local square dance groups.

Two daughters, N. Jean Royston, New Freedom, Pa. and R. Sue Bivens , Greencastle, Pa.
Three sons, Nelson R. Beaver , Barton C. Beaver and Todd J. Beaver, all of Waynesboro, Pa.
Four Brothers, Howard Beaver, Greencastle, Pa., Roy Beaver, Greencastle, Pa., Arthur Beaver, Pond Bank, Pa. and Ken Beaver, Chambersburg, Pa.
Four Grandsons One great-granddaughter
He was preceded in death by: four brothers, Charles Beaver, Bob Beaver, Clarence Beaver and Paul Beaver and four sisters Anna Beaver, Kathryn Beaver, Eleanor Beaver and Helen Beaver.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Howard Beaver Jr. officiating. Burial with military graveside honors by the Chambersburg V.F.W. Post #1599 Honor Guard will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. Family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 - 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given in his memory to the Hospice Of The Good Shepherd 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
