Jody L. Leidig

Jody L. Leidig, age 54 of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of Betty Burkett Leidig and the late John Raymond Leidig.

Jody was a 1987 graduate of the James Buchanan High School. He went on to work at the former Grove Manufacturing in 1987, now Manitowoc Crane in Shady Grove, PA, where he has worked his entire career, lastly holding the position of CNC Programmer Manufacturing Engineer II. An avid outdoorsman, Jody enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.  However, his most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 33 years, Tricia Kennedy Leidig, whom he married on September 3, 1989; two children, Cody L. Leidig of Greencastle, PA and Stephanie I. Naugle (husband Dylan) of West Grove, PA; seven grandchildren, Desaray U. Little, Wynter G. Baker, Lily R., Maxwell P., Preston J., Hadley R., and Harper L. Naugle; and three siblings, John R. Leidig (wife Amy) of Greencastle, PA, Kenneth E. Leidig (wife Kelli) of Greencastle, PA, and Mark L. Leidig (wife Sharon) of Greencastle, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 1 PM at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Road, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Casey Hurst will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the above church and address. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org.
