Jerry E. Burnett
Jerry Edward Burnett, age 77, a resident of The Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville and formerly of Waynesboro died at 10:02 P.M. Monday, May 4, 2015 in the nursing home.
Jerry was born on January 16, 1938 in Dallas, Texas and he was the son of the late Joe F. and Mary Irene (Messmer) Burnett.
He was a faithful employee for 30 years at Five Forks Fruit operated by the Showalter family. In his later years he enjoyed putting puzzles together and interacting with his fellow residents at the nursing home.
Surviving family include one aunt Jessie M. George, cousins, Theresa Evans, Rosemary Houp, Mary Osborne, Beverly Hagan and Gene Messmer.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle. Condolences may be expressed at www.zimmermanfh.com
