Jerome Edward Foreman Jr., 87, of Greencastle, PA passed away at home surrounded by loved ones, December 3, 2023. Jerome was born July 27, 1936, in Akron, Oh to the late Jerome Edward Foreman, Sr. and Mary Francis J (Countryman) Foreman.
He graduated from Hower Vo Tech Akron, Ohio in 1955. Attended Akron Bible Institute; Graduated from National Radio/Television Institute, Kent, Ohio; Graduated from Cleveland Institute of Electronics. He served in the U.S. Army 1959 to 1962. He retired from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as Director of Engineering.
He was a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers since 1973. Former member of Society Motion Pictures & Television Engineers. Holds 1st Class FCC Radio/Telephone license, Certified Electronics Technician, Certified Professional Senior Broadcast Engineer.
He was employed as an Electrician for Board of Education; Cathedral of Tomorrow; Maryland Public Broadcasting; Channel 31; PTL Television; WPCB-TV Cornerstone Television; WKSL-FM Cornerstone Television; WHAG-TV; WJAL-TV; WTKK-TV; WCRH-FM; WHGT-AM U.S. Army at the Alternate Pentagon; Bipartisan Committee House of Representatives in Harrisburg; Free-lance work-building television production facilities at the Hagerstown Rescue Mission; Installed transmitter in Altoona, PA.
Served as Board Member: Akron Youth for Christ; Assistant Vice President of Television at PTL; WJAL-TV; Hagerstown Rescue Mission; Southview Baptist School Board; Franklin County Sunday School Association.
At church he served as a Deacon, Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Teacher, and Implemented Audio Systems in numerous churches.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy (Kendall) Foreman whom he married December 2, 1961; three children, Jerome Edward Foreman III (Jef) and wife Beverly (Byers) Foreman; Robyn (Foreman) Arnold and husband Mike Arnold; Karen (Foreman) Robison and Edward Robison, deceased. 4 Grandchildren Jerome Edward Foreman IV (Jerome); Diana Robison; Christopher Arnold; Sarah (Arnold) Bayse and husband Robert Bayse; and Great Grandchild Jackson Robison; Niece Joyce (Supple) Sayers husband Steve Sayers; Nephews Terry Bland (deceased); Carly Hunsicker and Jerry (Carl) Supple.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11 AM in the Harold M. Zimmerman Funeral Home, Inc., 45 South Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Pastors Matthew Robinson and Don Harrelson will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 10, from 7 – 9 PM and on Monday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Germantown Bethel Church of God Cemetery, Cascade, MD.
