Jeffrey "Jeff" Fitzgerald

Mr. Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Fitzgerald, 56, of Fayetteville, died Saturday morning, August 3, 2013, at Chambersburg Hospital. He was the husband of Marie Ann Hartman Mathna Fitzgerald, his wife of 18 � years.
Jeff was born October 9, 1956, in Waynesboro; and graduated Waynesboro High School in 1974.
He was a Veteran of the United States Marie Corp.
He worked for Letterkenny Army Depot and later for Dependable Roofing, Chambersburg.
Jeff was a member of the American Legion, Albert J. Lentz Post 202, Gettysburg; and formerly the VFW, Waynesboro and Marine Corp League, Chambersburg.
He was an outdoorsman enjoyed deep sea fishing, and hunting. Recently he had renewed interest with a childhood hobby, building models.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Christopher A. Fitzgerald of Hawaii, and Jessica A. Fitzgerald Bigham of South Mountain; and grandchildren Zane and Zoie; sisters Julie Scott and husband Boyd of Chambersburg, and Malissa Baer and husband Bill of Waynesboro; and nieces.
Jeff is also survivied by step-children Rose Perkins and husband Justin of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and Beth Perkins and husband Brandon of Hagerstown; and step-grandson Avery.
The family will receive friends at Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home, 45 South Carlisle Street, Greencastle, on Wednesday, August 14, from 6:30 PM until time of the Memorial Service at the funeral home beginning at 7:30 PM. The Rev. David G. Rawley will officiate. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
