Janet Louise Suffecool, age 89 of Buchanan Trail East Greencastle, PA died at 5:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in her home after a lengthy illness.
Born June 30, 1924 in Shady Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late George Franklin and Emma (Shank) Stine. She married Clarence Leroy "Jiggs" Suffecool on June 15, 1946 in Chambersburg.
She was a homemaker, and in her earlier life she worked at the former Landis Tool Co. of Waynesboro. Janet was a 1942 graduate of Greencastle High School.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Waynesboro. Janet enjoyed being with her family, camping and riding snow mobiles in her younger years.
Surviving family in addition to her husband are one son Mark A. Suffecool and wife Cindy of Waynesboro, one daughter Cindy L. Hahn and husband Larry of Greencastle, two brothers Ray Stine of Shady Grove, George F. "Bud" Stine of Waynesboro, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Williams and a grandson Jerry Suffecool.
Funeral services will be held on Monday August 26 at 10:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor Drahus Oslik officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 - 8 P.M.
