Jane I. Stover, age 95 of South Linden Ave. Greencastle, PA died at 7:45 P.M. Monday, February 27, 2012 in ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg.
Born October 26, 1916 in Hagerstown, MD., she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Catherine (Bentz) Ling. Her husband Ellis Roy "Bud" Stover died December 14, 1994.
Jane was a homemaker and in her earlier life she worked at the former ASBA Mfg. of Greencastle.
She was a member of the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Greencastle, member of the Lady Auxiliaries of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 and Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373, both of Greencastle. Jane also was a member of the A.A.R.P. and she attended the Greencastle Senior Center. She had also attended the former St. Mary''s Business School in Hagerstown.
Surviving family are two daughters Mary Jane (husband Darryl) Crunkleton, Shady Grove, PA, Barbara (husband Robert) Gingerich, York, PA, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 2 at 10:00 A.M. from the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 385 S. Ridge Ave. Greencastle with Rev. Joe Stahura as celebrant. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. There will be no public viewing. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 385 S. Ridge Ave. Greencastle PA 17225 or to the charity of one''s choice. Arrangements were made by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
