Surrounded by his family, Jim entered Heavens gates on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 after suffering complications from surgery at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born June 17, 1937 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Norman and Annetta (Williams) Stoneham.
Mr. Stoneham was a graduate of Hagerstown High School with the class of 1955. He and his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Darlene (Bingaman) Stoneham were married June 21, 1959 and resided in Waynesboro.

After high school Mr. Stoneham completed an apprenticeship at Landis Tool Co. He then proceeded to purchase several trucks and sold Charles Chips in the Waynesboro area. He entered into a partnership with Ralph Fitz in 1961 and opened Fitz & Stoneham John Deere dealership. He purchased the business upon Mr. Fitz’s retirement in 1990 and was sole owner of Stoneham’s John Deere until his semi-retirement when the business transitioned to Stoneham’s Motor Sports. He continued to work part-time at Stoneham’s until the time of his death.

Mr. Stoneham came to a saving knowledge of Christ at the tender age of nine while attending Virginia Ave. Baptist Church in Hagerstown and was involved in several churches during his lifetime. He was a member at Waynesboro Grace Brethren Church, Maranatha Brethren Church and Five Forks Brethren In Christ Church. During his lifetime he held many positions in these churches including deacon, trustee and Sunday School teacher. He spent much time in church visitation and service to others.

Mr. Stoneham’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He almost always was spotted holding a grandchild or great-grandchild. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
