Jack G. Izer

Jack Gordon Izer, age 61 a resident of the Good Shepherd Home in Allentown, PA and formerly of Greencastle died at 5:35 P.M. Monday November 28, 2011 in the home where he has resided since 1981.

Born February 26, 1950 in Waynesboro, PA, Jack was the son of William Max Izer of Penn Hall Chambersburg and formerly of Greencastle and the late J. Lorraine (Gordon) Izer who died October 24, 1994.

Jack attended the Grace United Church Of Christ of Greencastle. He attended Easter Seals Camp and worked at Occupational Services in Chambersburg.

In addition to his father surviving are one Aunt Betty Jane Schmidt, nieces and nephews grand nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother William Max Izer Jr.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday December 2 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle with Pastor James Hughes and Chaplain Robert Keener officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made in Jack''s memory to the Good Shepherd Home Rehabilitation Network C/O Development Dept. 850 South Fifth St. Allentown, PA 18103.
