Helga Kozub, age 86 a resident of Providence Place of Chambersburg and formerly of South Ridge Ave. Greencastle, Pa. died at 8:29 P.M. Sunday March 30, 2008 in the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.
Born December 29, 1921 in Tartu, Estonia, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Margaret (Sonnenberg) Janson.
She retired after 25 years employment with the Scotland School For Veterans Children.
She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle where she was a member of the Women Of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). Mrs. Kozub also was a member of the Greencastle Senior Women''s Club.
She and her husband, Edmund Kozub were married in 1946 in Germany. He died on January 29, 2000.
Surviving family are one daughter, Judy Mitten of Hilltown, Pa., two grandsons, Peter Cunningham of Lansing Michigan and Daniel Cunningham of Norristown, Pa.
One Foster Son, Rudy Boyance of Malvern, Pa.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Friday April 4 at 2:00 P.M. from the Evangelical Lutheran Church Chapel 130 N. Washington St. Greencastle with Martin H. Horn officiating. Interment will be held in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter 2325 Country Rd. Chambersburg Pa. 17201 or to the Evangelical Lutheran Church 130 N.
