Helen C. Donaldson, 86, formerly of Greencastle, PA died Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Harrison House of Snow Hill, Maryland, where she had been a resident for over two years.  Helen was born August 27, 1929 in Fredonia, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Grace Clark.  She was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Clark, also of Fredonia, and her stepmother Bernzella Clark, stepbrother Glenn Bestwick, and stepsister Marylou Bestwick Dickman of Florida.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer Donaldson Jr., in September 2006.

Helen was last employed at the former Citizen’s National Bank of Greencastle.  She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle and a charter member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church in Greensburg, PA.  Helen graduated from Stoneboro High School in 1947.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Donaldson of Cane Ridge, TN; Wendy Donaldson of Glen Burnie, MD, and a son, Kim Donaldson, and his wife Sue of Greenbackville, VA.  She is also survived by a sister, Ruby Morningstar of Sandy Lake, PA, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday February 2 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greencastle with Pastor Martin Horn officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, February 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Harold M.  Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle Street, Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday.   Interment services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 130 N.
