Helen I. Truax Carbaugh, age 72 of 5350 Apple Cross Ave. Apt. 3 Chambersburg, Pa. died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon October 6, 2007 in her home.
Born January 1, 1935 in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Etter) Rummel.
She had worked in the deli at Sunnyway Diner Greencastle and also at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Greencastle Church Of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher and was active in the ladies ministry. While living in Greencastle, she attended the Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle and served as a Sunday School teacher.
She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and enjoyed listening to gospel blue grass music, collecting bears and dolls.

One son, Michael S. Truax of Chambersburg, Pa. and one daughter, Linda K. Truax of Frederick, Md.
Three sisters, Mary Mills of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Jan Guyer of Chambersburg, Pa. and Dotti Hines of Lehigh, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Walter S. Truax Jr. in 1988 and by her second husband Marlin Rotterbaugh.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. from the Greencastle Church Of God 4480 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. with Rev. Floyd E. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg, Pa. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Wednesday.
