Harold B. Zeger

Harold B. Zeger, age 74, a resident of the Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg and formerly of Greencastle, PA died at 10:34 AM Thursday November 9, 2017 in the nursing center.

Born May 13, 1943 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Ross E. and Alice (Bittner) Zeger. He married his wife Mary Jane (Bartles) Zeger on June 6, 1968.

Harold was a farmer and also was employed at Grove Worldwide (now Manitowoc Crane) in Shady Grove and at Frick Co. in Waynesboro.

He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle. Harold was a 1962 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are two sons, Larry Zeger and wife Carey of Mercersburg, PA, Richard Zeger and wife Angela of Greencastle, two granddaughters, Rachel Zeger and Larra Zeger, two step-granddaughters, Molly Grissinger and Lainey Pittman, two sisters, Alice and Rebecca and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 14 at 11:00 AM  at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Martin Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and one hour before the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Evangelical Lutheran Church 130 North Washington St. Greencastle, PA 17225.
