Harold E. Shover, age 63 of 10984 Fort Stouffer Rd. Greencastle died at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday April 7, 2010 in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born September 24, 1946 in West Pennsboro Twp. Cumberland County, Pa., he was the son of the late David E. and Mary E. (Charlton) Shover and the grandson of the late Rev. Walter F. and Alice (Burkholder) Charlton.
He had worked on several local farms and also at the Greencastle Livestock Market. He attended the Waynecastle Mennonite Church near Waynesboro.
Surviving family are one aunt Cora Charlton of Hagerstown and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother D. Marlin Shover in 1996 and a sister Mildred E. Shover in 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 13 at 2:00 P.M. from the Waynecastle Mennonite Church 10617 Five Forks Rd, Waynesboro with the Waynecastle Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from noon till 2:00 P.M. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
