Harold Wayne Johnson, age 58 of 15048 Ridge Rd. Waynesboro, Pa. died Saturday morning July 14, 2007 in his home.
Born October 26, 1948 in Baltimore, Md. he was the son of the late Byron A. Johnson and Elsie L. (Bullington) Benson.
Mr. Johnson was a disabled American veteran and had worked as a master carpenter designing custom wood signs.
He had attended the Emanuel Baptist Church of Hagerstown and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Johnson was also a member of the American Legion and the local Greencastle AA Chapter.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

His wife, Shirley J. (Campbell) Johnson whom he married on July 3, 2006

One daughter, Barbara L. Johnson-Zeller, Waynesboro, Pa.

One sister, Kathy L. Boone, Kearneysville, W. VA.

Two Brothers, John S. Benson, Greencastle, Pa. and Byron James Johnson of Severna Park, Md.

Two stepchildren, Charity J. Hamilton and Gregg A. Hamilton, both of Fayetteville, Pa.

Three Grandsons, Shane Aaron Johnson and Christopher E. Carrigan, both of Baltimore, Md. and Zachary Breighton McCord of Waynesboro, Pa.

Step-father, William H. Benson of Waynesboro, Pa.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 21 at 1:00 P.M. from the Johnson home, 15048 Ridge Rd. Waynesboro, Pa. with Pastor Dwaine Krebbs officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the local Disabled American Veterans Charles McCleary Chapter #78 2705 Lincoln Way West Chambersburg, PA. 17202. Arrangements were made by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle, Pa.
