H. Dean Hollinger, age 77 of 10956 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, Pa. died at 1:10 A.M. Tuesday November 27, 2007 in the Quincy Retirement Home Quincy, Pa. where he was a resident for the past month.
Born July 17, 1930 in Montgomery Twp. Franklin Co. Pa., he was the son of the late Omar G. and Della (Ramsey) Hollinger.
He was the owner and operator of Hollinger''s Repair Service of Greencastle and also served as the bus mechanic for the Broadfording Bible Brethren Church of Hagerstown. In his earlier years he had worked for the Western Maryland Railroad and Grove Manufacturing Co. in Shady Grove.
Mr. Hollinger was a member for many years of the Broadfording Bible Brethren Church of Hagerstown where he taught Sunday School and he also attended the Macedonia United Brethren Church near Greencastle. He was a member of the Rescue Hose Co. #1 of Greencastle. Mr. Hollinger was a graduate of the former Lemasters High School. He had attended the Greencastle Senior Center and enjoyed visiting with people.
He and his wife, Sara M. (Reed) Hollinger were married September 6, 1950 in Saxton, Pa. She died on April 27, 2002.

Two daughters, Lois E. (Mrs. Richard) Gingerich and Deborah S. (Mrs. Mervin) Hock, both of Greencastle, Pa.
Two Sisters, Edna M. Budy, Harrisburg, Pa. and Doris Leonard, Fayetteville, Pa.
Nine Grandchildren and Four great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Friday November 30 at 11:00 A.M. from the Macedonia United Brethren Church 11887 Worleytown Rd. Greencastle, Pa. with Pastors Gayle L. Ruble Sr. and R. William Wyand officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery Lemasters, Pa. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 - 9 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.
