Glenn C. Stine, age 95 of 237 South Potomac St. Waynesboro, Pa. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening August 25, 2010 after a ten month illness.

Born December 21, 1914 in Greencastle, Pa., he was the son of the late Abram A. and Barbara K. (Cook) Stine.

He retired after 45 years employment at Landis Tool Co. of Waynesboro where he worked as a pattern maker.

Glenn and his wife, Agnes E. "Peg" (Rexroad) Stine were married on October 4, 1941.

Glenn was a member of the Grace United Church Of Christ of Greencastle, life member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319 and life member of the Rescue Hose Co. #1, both of Greencastle. He also was a member of the Waynesboro Y.M.C.A., where he enjoyed swimming and shooting basketball.

Glenn was a 1934 graduate of Greencastle High School, where he was an outstanding athlete having lettered in five sports. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific.
He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and cane collecting.

Surviving family in addition to his wife of 68 years are one son Ronald C. (husband of Stephanie C.) Stine, Baldwinsville, N.Y., two daughters, Carolyn K. (wife of Lawrence E.) Campbell, Hagerstown, Md., Susan M. (wife of H. Daniel) Bock, Waynesboro, Pa., one brother Harold Stine, Chambersburg, Pa., two sisters, Louise Peters, Baltimore, Md., Ada Grace, Cape Cod, MA., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 30 at 11:00 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor James E. Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Grindstone Hill Cemetery Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Grace United Church of Christ 128 East Baltimore St. Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or to the Lutheran Home Care And Hospice 2700 Luther Dr. Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
