Glenn Chester Miller, age 91, of Greencastle, PA died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late J. Fred and Elizabeth (Hykes) Miller.
Mr. Miller attended the Washington County Maryland Schools and served as an Army medic from 1951- 1953 in the Korean War.
He married Betty Marie Hawbaker Miller on March 29, 1959. Mr. Miller worked as a machinist at the Landis Tool Co. of Waynesboro for 47 years. After retirement, he volunteered at the Greencastle Senior Center for a number years and was a member of the Franklin County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council. He was a member of the Brandts Church near St. Thomas.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister Dorothy Mowery of Chambersburg, his step-mother, Eleanor Miller of Welsh Run and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Betty McClure and Helen Needy.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 28 at 11:00 AM at Brandts Church, 8003 Brandts Church Rd. St. Thomas, PA. Masks are encouraged to be worn. Burial will be in the St. Thomas Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund of Brandts Church, 8003 Brandts Church Rd., St. Thomas, PA 17252.
