Pastor Glen A. Miller, age 71 of 3640 Filer Rd. Greencastle, Pa. died at 10:40 P.M. Monday, June 22, 2009 in the Waynesboro Hospital. Born October 15, 1937 in Sonestown, Sullivan County, Pa. , he was the son of the late Pastor Paul M. and Lucy M. (Swartz) Miller.

He was a 1955 graduate of Newport High School and received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Juniata College. He then did graduate work in Analytical Chemistry at Lehigh University. After a successful career in chemical research Glen entered the ministry as a pastor graduating from Evangelical Congregational School of Theology in Myerstown, Pa. He received his Doctor of Sacred Theology from Bethany Theological Seminary and Bible College in 1986. He served as Pastor at Calvary Bible Church from 1983 till the present and has been active in ministerial service since 1963. Glen served as an Evangelist for many rural churches. He was a sought after Bible conference speaker and has served on the Board of Directors for Youth for Christ and other para-church organizations.

He and his wife Carole L. (Boxe) Miller were married November 26, 1959 in Mexico, Pa.
Glen enjoyed bike riding, keeping in shape, wood-working, model railroading, fishing and visiting places of historical interest.

Surviving family in addition to his wife are one daughter Pamela A. (Wife of Michael) Pfleegor, New Tripoli, Pa., one son David P. Miller, Irwin, Pa., one sister Louise E. (Wife of William, Sr.) Prosser, Fairfax, Va., and two grandsons Jonathan and Matthew Pfleegor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 26, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. from the Calvary Bible Church 3845 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle with Rev. John Thornbury officiating. Burial will be in the Adams Cemetery Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pa. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 6 - 9 P.M. and two hours before the service on Friday. Memorial contributions can be given in his memory to the Calvary Bible Church 3845 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or to the Hagerstown Rescue Mission 125 North Prospect St. Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
