Gerald Robert Castle (1937-2014)
Gerald Castle, age 77 of Greencastle, PA, suddenly passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Gerry was born in Frederick County and was raised in Frederick and Adamstown, MD. He served in the Army before a 30 year career with IBM.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Castle and his two favorite friends, Domino and Ruffles, his two Miniature Schnauzers, with whom he loved to walk and fuss over.
In life he found great joy in his children and grandchildren Christine Castle Stover and her husband Christopher Stover and their two children Katie and Alec of Myersville, MD; Gerald Robert Castle, Jr, his three children Chad, Josh, and Drew of Columbia, MD; Scott Gregory Castle and his wife Marybeth Castle and their two children Hannah and Alex of Greencastle, PA; Deanna Castle Jezek and her husband Dan Jezek and their two children, Thomas and Nicole, of North Potomac, MD; Michael Wayne Castle and his two children, Julianna and Maxwell of Eldersburg, MD. Gerry is also survived by his sister Brenda R. Keagan of Smithsburg, MD.
A remembrance service will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, December 1, 2014 at Harold M. Zimmerman & Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, PA. The family will be present at 3:30pm to receive friends and family. In lieu of flowers during this holiday season, the family request you donate to your favored charity.
