George D. Brough
George David Brough, age 89 a resident of the Village of Laurel Run Fayetteville and formerly of Chambersburg died at 8:15 P.M. Wednesday February 20, 2013 in the nursing home.
Born April 26, 1923 in Marion, PA, he was the son of the late James L. and Dorothy (Steward) Brough. He worked at McLaughlin''s Auction and Kenny''s Auction both of Chambersburg.
He was a life member of the Marion Volunteer Fire Co. and also was a member of the Franklin Fire Co. Chambersburg.
Surviving family are one brother Roy Brough and wife Susan, Mercersburg, one sister Ada N. Shatzer, Greencastle and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Anna Mary Golden and a brother James Edward Brough.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1 at 10:30 A.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor George Jones officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Lincoln Cemetery Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Friday.
