Freda Catherine Peck-Sipes, age 91, of 408 Carolle St., Greencastle, PA, died at 1:29 A.M., Thursday, December 27, 2007 in the Waynesboro Hospital with her loved ones by her side after a brief illness.
Born, February 6, 1916 in Needmore, PA she was the daughter of the late Enock Columbus and Mary Frances (Mellott) Truax.
She was a Christian. She assisted with her families businesses at the former G.C. Murphy''s in Weirton, W.VA, the former Bonanza Restaurant and the Econo Lodge/State Line Motel both of State Line.
Freda enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, painting and ceramics. She enjoyed being active in the Greencastle Senior Center and being a grandmother to everyone young and old.

Five Daughters, Margaret F. "Peg" Peck-Golden of Greencastle, PA; Virginia A. Peck-Hird of Alliance, OH; Dorothy Peck-Hufnagel of Barnesvile, OH; Harriet Peck-Whitelaw of Montery, VA; Catherine Peck-Dinnin of Walker, W.VA.
Two Sons, Bernard Peck of Imperial, PA and Harry Peck, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL.
26 Grandchildren, 49 Great-Grandchildren, and 15 Great-Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her first husband Harry Elmore Peck in 1969; her second husband Howard Sipes; a son, Donald Peck; a daughter, Sandra Peck; three granddaughters, Carol Jean Hughes, Kimmy Peck, and Vickie Peck Shaffer; a grandson Paul Work; and a brother Robert Truax.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
