Frank M. Tresler, Jr, 81, of Coles Valley Acres, Waterfall, PA and formerly a long time resident of State Line, PA, passed from this world on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his home.
Born June 29, 1934 in State Line, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Fern V. Beard Tresler. He attended the Greencastle Antrim High School system.
Frank worked at Fairchild Aircraft Plant, Hagerstown, MD in his early years, Letterkenny Army Depot – retiring from there in 1986, Corning Glass Works, and at Ezolt Heating and Air Conditioning before retiring to the mountains in Waterfall. Frank loved the mountains, feeding the wildlife, woodworking, hunting, NASCAR, and could never turn away a stray cat.
Frank was a Past Worshipful Master of George Washington Lodge 801, Chambersburg, PA, member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Valley Forest #145, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Harrisburg, life member of the National Rifle Association, life member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Association, life member of the North American Hunting Club, and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #842, Chambersburg, PA.
He and his wife Dorothy were married August 26, 1961 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
In addition to his parents, he was deceased by his wife Dorothy in 2007, a brother Paul F. Tressler in 2005, a son Frank, and infant sister, Thelma Tresler and a granddaughter Christie Stevens.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Paris (husband Tom), Owings Mills, MD, Brenda Loveless (husband Dennis) of Middletown, PA, step-children Ronald E. Shafer (wife Jan) of Greencastle, PA and Sharon Wiles (husband Paul) of Fairfield, PA, brother Perry Tresler (wife Gertie) of Fayetteville, PA; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 1 at 11:00 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Pastor David Moore of Mercersburg Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
