Frank B. Kesselring, age 82, of 452 East Madison St., Greencastle, PA. died at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born August 10, 1926 in Zullinger, PA., he was the son of the late Frank and Vada (Gardner) Kesselring.
He worked as a meat cutter for three different local supermarkets and also was a cook at the Sunnyway Diner in Greencastle for 14 years. He also worked part time as police officer with the Greencastle Police Department.
He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church of Greencastle where he served as a deacon and as a member of the missions committee. Mr. Kesselring also was a member of The Gideons International. He was a member of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post #373 and life member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post #6319, both of Greencastle.
He was a 1944 graduate of Greencastle High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Kesselring enjoyed cooking and playing the piano.
He and his wife, Frances K. (Krone) Kesselring were married May 19, 1950 in Highfield, Md.
Surviving family in addition to his wife of 58 years are:
Two daughters, Linda J. Kesselring, Catonsville, Md. and Diane K. Haugh, Greencastle.
Two Granddaughters, Katie Louise Rose and Laura Jean Haugh.
One great-granddaughter, Alexandra Frances Rose

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George Kesselring, Dorsey Kesselring and Jason Kesselring, one sister Thelma Kephart and by the Rev. C.A. and Ada Hoover, who raised him at the former Milton Wright Home of Kauffman Station, Pa.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 23 at 11:00 A.M. from the Calvary Bible Church 3845 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle with Rev. Glen Miller and Rev. Wilbur Besecker officiating. Burial will be in the Browns Mill Cemetery Kauffman. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle and at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions may be given in his memory to missions work of Calvary Bible Church 3845 Buchanan Trail West Greencastle, Pa. 17225, The Gideons International P.O.
