Frank S. Chamberlin, age 92 a resident of Providence Place of Chambersburg since July and formerly of Starr Ave. Chambersburg and Greencastle, died at 7:30 AM Sunday December 21, 2014 in Providence Place.

Born June 6, 1922 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Clyde N. and Catherine (McKenzie) Chamberlin. He married Dortha L. (Lane) Chamberlin on November 6, 1999 in Greencastle. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.

Frank retired from Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove. He was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon and was a member of the Waynesboro Sportsman and the Greencastle Sporstman Association. Frank also was a member of the Mount Pisgah Lodge #443 F.& A.M. of Greencastle, the South Penn Scottish Rite Club of Waynesboro and a former member of the Greencastle Lions Club for many years.

Surviving family are three daughters Patricia Chamberlin Hoke of Virginia, Bonnie Chamberlin Bumbaugh of Chambersburg, Beverly Chamberlin Davis Parsons of Greencastle, one son, Jack L. Chamberlin of Texas, two step-sons, Mark G. Truax and Troy A. Truax, ten grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers, two wives Leila Ott Chamberlin who died in 1975 and Parolee Louthan Pugh Chamberlin who died  in 1999.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 4 at 2:00 PM from the Greencastle Presbyterian Church 57 West Baltimore St. Greencastle with Pastor Doug Beltzner and Chaplain John Ile officiating. Burial with military honors by the Chambersburg V.F.W. Post #1599 Honor Guard will be at the convenience of the family in Antietam (Price’s) Cemetery in Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.zimmermanfh.com
