Frances Meyers

Frances A. Meyers, age 84 of 824 Kauffman Rd. West Greencastle, PA died at 10:42 A.M. on Friday November 25, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born March 31, 1927 in Clear Spring, MD, she was the daughter of the late Phares S. and Carrie (Shank) Horst.
Frances was a homemaker and was previously employed at Corning Glass Works of Greencastle where she worked as a secretary in Human Resources.

She and her husband, Myron W. Meyers were married April 28, 1973. Frances was a member of the Shanks Church Of The Brethren of Greencastle. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and was willing to help others.

Surviving family in addition to her husband are four step-children, Edward N. (wife Jane) Meyers, Hummelstown, PA, Eva Meyers Benson, Pasadena, CA, Barbara (husband Leslie) Gift, Greencastle, Beverly (husband Bruce) Bollinger, Lebanon, PA, two sisters, Carrie (husband Paul) Eby, Menno Village, Chambersburg, Bertha Eby, Hagerstown, MD, thirteen grandchildren and a very special aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Melvin Horst, John Horst and Leroy Horst.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 30 at 10:00 A.M. from the Shank''s Church Of The Brethren Greencastle with Ministers David Stahl and Edward Meyers officiating. Burial will be in the Meyers Cemetery near Mercersburg. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Wednesday.
