Florence E. Martin

Florence E. Martin, age 77 a resident of the Mennonite Home of Maugansville, Md. died at 10:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Washington County Hospital Hagerstown.

Born May 5, 1931 in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Phares H. and Fannie R. (Eby) Martin.

She worked at the former B & L Grocery Store in Maugansville and Rocky Ridge Farm Market near State Line.
She was a member of the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss, Md.

Surviving family are two sisters, Amanda Martin and Mary Martin, residents of the Mennonite Home, Maugansville, Md., one brother Reuben A. Martin, Hagerstown, twelve nephews and nieces and number of great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by brothers Abel E. Martin, and Phares E. Martin Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 24 at 10:00 A.M. from the Reiff Mennonite Church near Cearfoss with the Reiff Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church this evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home of Greencastle.
