Ethel F. Wells, age 90 a resident of the Brian Center in Hendersonville, N.C. and formerly of 50 South Ridge Ave. Greencastle, Pa. died at 4:50 A.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in the center. She had moved to Hendersonville approximately two years ago.
Born October 25, 1916 in Antrim Twp. Franklin Co. Pa., she was the daughter of the late Daniel R. and Anna M. (Baker) Eshleman.
She was employed at the former Stanley Co. of Chambersburg and in her earlier years worked at Fairchild Aircraft Hagerstown and at the American Stores.
Mrs. Wells was the last charter member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Greencastle. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rescue Hose Co. Greencastle and served on its drill team. She was a former member of the Greencastle-Antrim Lioness Club and a member of the National A.A.R.P. She was a 1936 graduate of Greencastle High School.
She and her husband, Orville S. "Short" Wells were married in December 20, 1963. He died on September 6, 1997. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Trinity Lutheran Church 1186 Jason Dr. Greencastle with Pastor William DeHass officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle on Friday evening from 6 - 8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in her memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church 1186 Jason Dr. Greencastle, Pa. 17225
