Esther Leona (Burkholder) Mcculloh

Esther Leona McCulloh, age 97, of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born July 18, 1924, in State Line, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Myers Burkholder.

Mrs. McCulloh was a homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed baking, gardening, and working around her home. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen E. Barnhart (husband James) of Chambersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Brenton Barnhart (wife Jennifer) of Chambersburg, PA and Janel Mellott (husband Roger) o0f Chambersburg, PA; and four great-grandchildren, Charles, Lillian, Rosie, and Brooklyn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McCulloh in 1999 and three siblings, Glenn Burkholder, Naomi Lindsay, and Sankie Burkholder.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 10:30 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA where Pastors Denise Horn and Floyd Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Chambersburg, PA.
