Esther M. Martin, age 84 of 13243 Maugansville Rd. Hagerstown, Md. died unexpectedly at 4:30 P.M. Saturday, December 8, 2007 in her home.
Born June 27, 1923 in Reid, Washington County Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Rhoda S. (Martin) Eshleman.
Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and was a member of the Mount Olive Mennonite Church of Maugansville, Md.
Her husband, Chester H. Martin died on October 20, 1998.
Surviving family are:
Three daughters, Joyce L. (Wife of Robert L.) Shank of Chambersburg, Pa., Eleanor R. (Wife of Joseph E.) Martin and Wilma J. (Wife of James D.) Martin, both of Hagerstown, Md.
Two sons, Alvin E. (Husband of Esther L.) Martin, and Myron L. (Husband of Charlotte A.) Martin, both of Hagerstown,. Md.
Two sisters, Grace M. Eby and Iva M. Martin, both of Hagerstown, Md.
One brother, John M. Eshleman, Hagerstown, Md.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Martin and Martha Eshleman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 11, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mount Olive Mennonite Church in Maugansville, Md. with the Mount Olive Mennonite Church Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be no public viewing but the family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle, Pa. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions may be given to the Mennonite Air Missions C/O Mark Strite 13416 Clear Spring Rd. Clear Spring, Md. 21722.
