Ernest A. Daley, age 86 of Coseytown Rd. Greencastle, PA died at 6:02 P.M. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born September 13, 1926 in Greencastle, PA, he was the son of the late William and Carrie (Burkholder) Daley. He was married to Patsy Ann (Seacrest) Daley for over 63 years. She died on August 10, 2012.
Ernest was a retired self-employed plasterer. He was an avid hunter and was a member of the West End Hunting Club.
Surviving family are two daughters Susan M. Houtrai of Maine, Sally Daley Rice of Greencastle, one grandson Clinton Rice of Greencastle, one great-granddaughter Cali Rice and one sister Eva Daley Korab of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 4 at 2:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle with Rev. Doug Sandman officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church Cemetery Coseytown, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in his memory to the Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church 3664 Coseytown Rd. Greencastle, PA 17225.
